What brought up these serious question?
Care Tech Industries, Inc's O3 portable generators were flat denied certification after Canadian Standards Association (CSA) said "no problem" and took their money.
(1) There were four Canadian Standards
Association (CSA) Bulletins withheld from Care Tech Industries, Inc. from the
start. If we were made aware of them, we would not have continued. All four dealt
with ozone generators. We still never received them to date form Canadian Standards
Association (CSA) in 1998.

(2) The Alpine units wear a Canadian Standards
Association (CSA) Certification, but the Odatus units were denied Canadian Standards
Association (CSA) Certification even though the same application and materials are used. (doc 22-23-24) The major concern and question on this subject alone is; can the
consumer trust safety certification by CSA of any electrical product? The
CSA electrical bulletins above prevent these certifications.
(3) The letter to Mrs. Shorrock has NEVER
been answered. (Doc 20-21)
(4) We have been misled from the beginning. Mr.
Ray Cheyne admitted this by apologizing. (doc 45).
(5) Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is
employing Health Canada regulations that do not exist. Health Canada clearly states
that they have done No studies on air purifying ozone generators. They base their
findings on an anonymous writer in a magazine called Consumer Reports.

Health Canada has no authority to dictate what is to be sold in the USA. We paid for
the Canadian Standards Association (CSA)'s "NRTL/C" to include USA sales.
(6) Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
certification requires that the following statement be printed on our labels: "Certified
for electrical shock and electrical fire hazard only." Why on earth can't
Canadian Standards Association (CSA) do just that? Why is Canadian Standards
Association (CSA) insisting that our label also wear other unrelated statements?
(7) Since Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
certified a four generator plate machine (Odatus 100 Series) why can't they certify
a two plate machine? (Odatus Jet & Odatus II) Especially when Canadian
Standards Association (CSA) insisted that we place "For Commercial Use Only"
on all our machines. They both use the same generator plates in occupied areas.
(8) Canadian Standards Association (CSA) does
not intend on delivering their services for monies paid. Suddenly, Health Canada's
Advisory states to the public "for them" that Canadian Standards Association
(CSA) made the decision not to certify these products for household use.
(9) On February 12, 1999, a year later, Canadian
Standards Association (CSA) confirms our complaints in a Teleconference. To date, Canadian
Standards Association (CSA) is obviously not interested in restitution. (BACKGROUND paragraph 3.)
(10) There are NO laws in the U.S. that require
electrical appliances, or any other electrical device to be tested before the marketing of
the device, but it is a sensible and worth while idea. A certification or safety approval are only an expensive sales tool that raises the price to the consumer. It is
evident, unfortunately, that there is not a known qualified testing lab available for
ozone generators at this time. Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is definitely not
qualified. They even said so! (doc-71 P3) This
should have been disclosed to Care Tech Industries, Inc. before acquiring our money. Yes,
we feel scammed.
(11) NEW Doc-98 and Doc-99 (In the winter of 1997/1998,) confirms Canadian
Standards Association (CSA)'s intent to commit fraud as we interpreted it.

no longer there including the two
Vice President's - Mr. Thane Krozier, Mr. Pat Paladino and of course Mr. Ray Cheyne.
Authority: Dr. Clark Thorp, Ph.D., M.D. Acting Chairman, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Armour Research Foundation, Illinois Institute of Technology. "Pure Ozone is non-toxic even in concentrations as great as 20 to 50 parts per million of air." Hill, a physician specializing in industrial hygiene states, "Pure ozone is not poisonous in any sense of the word as it breaks down in contact with the mucus membrane and only oxygen remains."
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) chart reflects non-symptomatic levels of ozone to be 50.00 ppm for up to 10 minutes, temporary toxic regon 600 minutes or (60 hours). See: OSHA's Chart
Authority: Dr. Victor Bustamante, P.E. Ph.D. of Engineering & Scientist Management and Consulting Services. " To our knowledge, The Odatus generator plates produce the purest ozone (O3) made by man from ambient air. The Odatus was one of several machines used in our test." January 1999.

The following is a step by step communication between Care Tech Industries, Inc. and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) that gets better as it goes, that raised this question. Pay close attention to the document dates.
Those of you that are studying or practicing law may find this to be a comic, but we don't. We think of it as "Caught In Bed Together," since we have been fighting in the "OZONE WAR" for the last ten years against ignorance like this.
Mr. Manufacturer, be aware, this may happen to you. Because of our experience with Canadian Standards Association (CSA), we feel that a Canadian Standards Association (CSA)-NRTL/C certification has no credibility at all, is a waste of money and time, and is just a con. The media showed no interest. There are complaints filed with our government agencies including the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Occupational Safety & Health Association (OSHA), U. S. Attorney General, and several others. Again little interest, why?
